Is anyone else kinda scared that the big rocket thing happening today could go pear-shaped? I'm geeky enough to be a little excited and highly supportive of it and of most NASA activities. But I'm also adult and cynical enough to know that a spectacular failure is still a possibility, especially when science and engineering are politicized as they are today. Such a failure is NOT what the USA needs right now.
