The last few weeks have been an exercise in inventory management!! Argh!! Not the thing my artist-brain is comfy with.

I think my biggest hurdle has been wrestling with the unknown: the UI and unfamiliarity with all the ins-n-outs of tracking things. I’ve learned that when I get overwhelmed with learning new things that make me uncomfortable, I get brain fog and I literally feel like I’m moving in molasses. It takes a huge about of repetition repetition repetition for me to start to feel confident.

But I’ve slowly started to get a routine in the process of listing items, and I’m starting to recognize aspects of the UI, and it’s getting a bit easier. Still agonizing, but decreasingly so.

It’s weird how I can give myself grace when I’m exploring a new art medium, or when I used to try a new sewing procedure. It’s only when tech is involved that my thoughts seize up and things get cloudy. My surety slips through my fingers like water. My hands literally get clammy.

But progress is being made. I’m figuring things out. And I got a whole bunch of new items listed on my storefront. It’s like sunbeams burning away the mist.

I will never master this. But I will be knowledgable enough to be extremely reckless. I guess I have to aspire to something, right?
