Where some countries citizens have signed more than there share. Germany is still lagging behind.

@vosje62 The petition is successful when it collects more than 1 million signatures in total and crosses the threshold in at least 7 countries. The second goal has already been reached, now it needs 400k more signatures until January 2027, which shouldn't be a problem. So Germany lagging behind is not that relevant.

I think gathering only 1M+ signatures is not cool.

What about 10M? 50M? It has to send a strong message.

The figure of 1 million signstures is not an arbitrary target. It is threshold at which the European Commission will consider the proposal. See https://citizens-initiative.europa.eu/index_en

I am not sure that getting millions more signatures would help enough ro make it worth the effort. That energy might be better used in other ways.
