Did you know that crystal oscillators are orientation dependent? Well they are 😎

Albeit in the milliHz range for a 10MHz OCXO, the frequency change is completely measurable when you rotate the unit and change the crystals reference to earths gravity 🙂🙂

@kf7ccc those were the days 🥰 That was (likely) due the the earths magnetic field, and not a gravitational pull of the electron beam ☺️

I wonder whether the effect you so convincingly demonstrate is actually caused by earth's gravitational or magnetic field.

What happens if you just rotate the osc on the table, without changing tilt?
