In #Idaho they banned all but official city or state flags on public buildings in an effort to stop City Hall in Boise from displaying the Progress #Pride flag.

So the Boise city government made the Progress Pride flag an official city flag. The loophole meant the idiots in the state government had to try again.

So they passed another bill to ban that, and the mayor of Boise lit up City Hall in #trans colors for #TransDayOfVisibility.

She's like "I fuckin dare you."

This resister says on their account:
"Today, on Trans Day of Visibility, the governor of Idaho signed a bill banning pride flags on government buildings. (Failure to comply results in a $2,000/day fine).

"But the mayor had a badass response.

"She lowered the city’s progress flag, and lit city hall up in trans colors. 🏳️‍⚧️

"Idaho is a difficult state to live in, with extreme anti trans laws. But acts like this remind us that we belong here 🏳️‍⚧️"

@MaryAustinBooks ID is a strange bird. This fall we must observe a daily minute of silence. We can't tell or show students "everyone is welcome." Alienation seems to be the way of the state now. I resist because flying flags, speaking your peace, praying or not praying, funding schools...these are the things that build others up.
@MaryAustinBooks I like progress, but I do not think the government should fly any flag other than the flag of these United States that is described in the flag code. After all, the flag stands for something and we cannot change its color now.
