@simon_brooke @Silversnapples if only europe defends it its not international law but European law. Not saying we should stop just that the rest of the world seems to care little for our moral sensitivities.

@zeri @Silversnapples Who else is likely to defend it? The UK won't, The US certainly won't.

Russia won't (obviously), China won't. Canada would probably like to, but it looking round for someone else to go first.

South Africa cannot do it on their own.

@simon_brooke @Silversnapples what does defending even mean? We hardly get above "stiffly worded letter" when it comes to Israels manifold erm humanitarian efforts. If a country at the Mediterranean (we could make sanctions stick at sea) is not afraid to shit on our sensibilities how do you propose we make Putin quake in his high heeled boots?

@zeri @Silversnapples We are actively still flying daily surveillance flights over #Gaza in support of the #GazaGenocide, I believe. We certainly were for the first two years of the genocide, and I've seen no announcement that this has stopped.

We are utterly complicit.

Edit: by 'we', in this post, I mean the United Kingdom.
