A federal judge on Tuesday blocked President Donald Trump from moving ahead with any further work on a massive new $400 million ballroom on the former site of the White House East Wing.

"The President of the U.S. is the steward of the White House for future generations of First Families. He is not, however, the owner!

I have concluded that the National Trust is likely to succeed on the merits because no statute comes close to giving the President the authority he claims to have.

The ballroom construction project must stop until Congress authorizes its completion."
