I kinda like the rules of the very first Yu-Gi-Oh card game edited by Bandai and not Konami
It's drafty and dead simple. It is quite inspiring.

The rules of the game were printed on each monster card, which is quitz a good idea when you want your players to know the rules (unlike pokemon cards that no kid knew how to play when I was younger)

Each turn you play a monster. If it has more attack than your opponent's monster's defense, you destroy it and get points equal to its level. When your deck is empty, the duel ends and xhoever has more points wins.
You can also play spells and trap but the rules are quite unclear about how. It just says "whenever you want during battle" which is quite unprecise tbh

But tbh, as far as I remember only one trap was ever edited (kunai with chain) and, like, 3 equip spells and 3 other spells (spellbinding circle, polymerization and Time wizard). So, like, the game couldn't get any complicated since there were not so many cards available anyway
