On This Day 2 31st March 1992.

G-APUD, Benson B.7MC, on display in the Air and Space Hall of the Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI), Manchester, 31st March 1992.
Sadly, this part of the museum has been permanently closed, with it's exhibits scattered around the country.

@mancavgeek I can't believe bpeople trust those enough to fly in them!!!
@ai6yr According to Wikipedia, there have been thousands of kits sold for the follow-up, the B.8 and B.8M!
Quite who was buying these is unknown, to me at least, but someone obviously loves the idea of one.

@ai6yr @mancavgeek

Seen auto-gyros flying two summers at the EAA Fly-In in Oshkosh Wisconsin early ‘90s. There are 5 at the museum.

@stevewfolds @ai6yr There is at least 1 based at my local airfield.

@mancavgeek @stevewfolds @ai6yr There used to be one at Halfpenny Green Airport when I was younger (now Wolverhampton Business Airport) but I haven't seen it for a good few years.

There is one still in the air sometimes over Staffordshire and another over the Shropshire hills (stands out on ADS-B Exchange because of the icon) on a very rare day I see a pair in the air at the same time.
