No, unfortunately. You can claim you belong to a party and get yourself on the ballot.
The Dems in Nebraska have a fairly useless party leader who does a crap job of recruiting candidates, so they weren’t even going to run one for Senate until they found out about Forbes’s (Pete Ricketts’ toady) plans. There’s a candidate running against Forbes who was removed from the ballot by the SoS but the courts ordered her back on. She plans to drop out if she wins.

Nebraska politics went from non-partisan to extremely awful when Pete Ricketts’ family decided they wanted Petey to be a senator and started throwing money against every Republican who wasn’t aligned with their brand of far-right politics. He “bought” seats with massive advertising and there was hinkiness in his senate seat ascendancy as well. It’s a shitshow over here.
