Funny how we build on the shoulders of giants (or simply other humans)
I was amazed by "Odonymie à Rennes" (2025, Quentin Nahélou), which animates streets from a map to a small-multiples chart to spirals.
Turns out that the main graphic idea was created in "Brussels Streets Gender Inequality" (2023, Karim Douieb).
Turns out that the idea of small multiples of streets was created in "Street grids" (2015, Neil Freeman).
Turns out... I don't know, but surely other artworks inspired him.
Don't be shy, recreate what you find beautiful (and cite previous work!).
