Current status: Trying to get text out of a book that I a) own as paper and b) bought on #Amazon #Kindle, but for which I have 'exceeded my copy limit' in the Kindle.

Bloody #DRM. What part of 'legitimate usage' does this walled garden not get?

I presume #Kobo is just as hog-tied, and that doesn't even have a Mac app [edit: in the UK/EU].

@tastapod it's super easy to remove the DRM from kobo books.

@garyehughes not in the UK/EU on a Mac. There is no desktop app to raid for downloads.

@tastapod you can use adobe digital editions to download the files, I think that should work anywhere.
