@Slyence Actually tho, my psych professor in college made the claim that hearing voices in psychosis isn't as much a result of hallucinations as it is a failure of the brain to recognize its own internal monologue
I have zero qualifications to say whether or not that's true, but it's a neat idea

I know schizophrenia reportedly has culturally specific manifestations of the delusions, some cultures produce helpful, friendly delusions vs others provide hostile ones
schizophrenia is terrifying and interesting because our brains are unimaginably complex computers that break down in unusual and interesting ways
