The main problem with checking AI outputs is that you need to have an idea of what you actually wanted it to do, and most people use AI as a substitute for having to figure that out.
@PavelASamsonov fuck around → AI → find out
@PavelASamsonov Between the perceived convenience of LLMs and the exhausting nature of world news and its coverage, I suspect an unusually large portion of humanity is so overloaded and burned out that letting a machine do the thinking sounds pretty good.
@trevorflowers @PavelASamsonov Yeah, in a sense I can’t blame a lot of people who use AI to half-ass stuff. Everything and everyone is trying to steal our attention and energy at every turn. There’s definitely a kind of appeal in stealing some of it back.
@PavelASamsonov LLMs will gladly help you by making (plausable?) assumptions for all the stuff you didn't know, but you should have known?

@PavelASamsonov
So we found a circumstance in which the Dunning-Kruger effect is valid?

I was so disappointed when that turned out to be based on bad math.

@PavelASamsonov

So

Much

This!!

The fallacy that AI _thinks_ is virulent and highly contagious.

@PavelASamsonov Use AI. If you want to be stupid!
