they all most likely are looking at the actual text of the law and finding flaws in the writing itself and not at the reason the law was written.
@blogdiva Reductive and quite possibly misunderstanding things: It looks like the plaintiff was arguing that she was prevented from giving her patients treatments that they themselves wanted. I'd agree that there's a debate to be had about people wanting treatments that the government doesn't allow. You know, that whole autonomy thing...
