I installed a gasoline cut-off (primarily for maintenance and winterization). After I turn the gas off, the mower will run for a minute or more with just the gas in the carburetor bowl and fuel line. Logical, but unanticipated because the throttle control on my lawn mower is pretty much instantaneous.
