@rl_dane perhaps you want to remove the :FreeBSD: from your display name? https://pleroma.anduin.net/objects/c90fc5ee-d3f0-42b5-8505-304d0dd1c4ef

(maybe also Slopbian)

These days I feel a urge to resurrect #JehanneOS. Even better, restart it from #9front #MIT licensed sources adding my own code under the HackingLicense, maybe with a little addendum to explicitly leverage the Article 4(3) #CDSM’s opt-out mechanism.

What is that OS, then?

@giacomo @mirabilos

Oooooo, fascinating!!

@rl_dane
I miss GroovyOS and RustySpigot's companion tutorial for writing Hobby OSes. Both are now long-disappeared from the Internet. Somewhere I have a floppy disk with "nOS" (written by someone based on RustySpigot's tutorial, with some shared capabilities of GroovyOS) on it, assuming the disk still works...

@ddlyh @rl_dane @giacomo does the Wayback Machine have nothing (if you have a record of the original URLs)?
@mirabilos
I looked a while back. It had references to the files but no files themselves saved. I had to go back to 2004ish too.

Ouch. I know this pain all too well. ;)
