🤡"Some top Democrats" Name these racists, or don't print this trash.

Also, this article is trash for this framing.

It's always "Black women will save us!" But not until after you've stabbed all the Black women in the back first.

Why are y'all like this?

Some Dems' 2028 strategy: a straight, white, Christian man

Some top Dems fret that parts of the electorate won't support a woman or non-white man for president.

Axios

If I say, "Black people in tech face racism." you can tell people I said that.

But if you use that to write an article saying "Some tech leaders' strategy: only hire white men.🤡 The conversation spilled into the open when Mekka said that Black people in tech face racism."

We will have a problem.

The article framing is trash because it tries to use Michelle Obama and Jim Clyburn's Black faces to launder the super racist idea that we should strategize against the Black woman that is leading in all the Dem polls because she is not a white man.

They did not say that. That is not their strategy.

Racism persists in the United States in 2026, because most people don't even know what it looks like.

Everyone's looking for some mythical hyper-racist person with a klan hood and a burning cross and Nazi tattoos, yelling the N word repeatedly.

But racism is not that. It's this.

@mekkaokereke I saw a lot of this in 2019 and 2024 when people argued that a Black woman couldn’t win because people wouldn’t vote for a Black woman. “Other people are racist. I’m not, I’m just saying.” It’s circular logic.

@superflippy @mekkaokereke Prior to civil rights laws:

"Of course, of course we're not racist. But sadly, if we hire a black employee, our customers will shop elsewhere, so you know... What can we do? That's just how it is."

Here in The People's Republic of Kanuckistan, I recall that exact argument being made by a politician about businesses hiring queer employees. "They might want to keep them in the back." A real profile in cowardice.

@mekkaokereke I like this quote from (supposedly) Adam Parkhomenko

Next time someone tells you that America isn’t a racist country, just remind them that this nation is willing to accept treason from a white president but not healthcare from a black one.

@mekkaokereke When we first moved to Silicon Valley from Canada, we chatted with a woman in a Meno Park park ... the subject of schools came up and she boasted about how they had been able to set the elementary school district boundaries to keep East Palo Alto out. Not quite KKK hoods, but close. (There's racism in Canada if course but more discreet)

@mekkaokereke @PeterLudemann

Open school boundaries have been the norm in every Canadian city I’ve lived in (still has its issues… takes privilege to drive across the city for school)

But now our Alberta conservative govs have been starving the system long enough that schools are over crowded and are closing their boundaries. Not to mention all the public money they’re throwing at private schools…
