I live in the Eastern Finland, near the Russian border. All my long years I have lived in a peaceful country. A couple of years ago I visited St. Petersburg quite often. There was marvellous culture life, opera, art exhibitions etc.

It ended when covid pandemia striked. And then they attacked Ukraina and the borders closed for good.

Last sunday was the latest phase of this story. I woke up hearing the Hornet fighter jets. They followed two Ukrainian drones equipped with warheads. The drones dropped nearby. They were heading to Russian oil harbours, but GPS disturbance of the Russians made them go astray.

Last night I heard the fighters again. And for the first time in my life I wondered if it is safer to sleep downstairs because of possible explosion.

But don't get me wrong! Ukrainians have every right to defend themselves! I just can't believe that I have to consider my family's safety in Finland. As many others I wonder what has happened to the world I knew.

We live in more central Finland and heard jets last night before going to sleep.. This location is one that has been bombed in last wars, so the rush of adrenaline it caused was immense. Good that the military is doing something, but it does make one think how safe we are. ):

Also, I hope Ukrane wins and Russia is forced to pay for this senseless war.
