At an #art #party on a rooftop in #HongKong on Thursday #night called “Ancestral Frequencies,” which was dedicated to reclaiming feminine and #queer genealogies and embracing #nightlife as a site of #community, care, and collective transformation. Philippines-born #artist Joshua Serafin performed “Relics: An Eye Once Blind,” a work rooted in their transoceanic family history, summoning cathartic energy and creating visual spectacle through movement, ritual, and
embodied storytelling. I was so close when they swung their light around I and the folks around me ducked 😅 I was also in the splash zone, and it was glorious. And then when it was over they immediately snapped out of character and turned into a total QT pie (there was a similar moment during the #performance too). #HongKong, baby <3
