I started watching Tár this evening as a break. I watched about 1/3rd to half way and paused for the evening. It is spacious and intense with the opening scene so incredibly packed with insight and meaning, which doesn't really let up. There is a lot of quiet and space, but seems to add to the tension and the interpolating of internal tensions giving way to others. It has a feeling of a 1970s to mid-1990s art house film with the quiet tension.
