There are still serious people working at The Atlantic.

I can't imagine what it's like psychologically to be a member of the American establishment, watching Trump piss away their birth right while making every one of their enemies stronger.

Here's to hoping that American citizens can take control of their country while its not too late for us to eventually work out the problems they are creating for the entire planet.

America Is Now a Rogue Superpower

Washington’s conduct in the Iran war is accelerating global chaos and deepening America’s dangerous isolation.

@SirCharlesTupperBt I don’t know you, and you don’t know me. I’m an American and all I can say is that I’m sorry. I’ve tried and will try again with my vote, protesting, writing and calling Congress. This is a nightmare, but at some point, we’ll collectively wake up.

@andguz Hey there! I want to encourage you all to do what you can at home. Every little bit matters.

I certainly appreciate the sentiment, but don't forget that you guys are the only ones who have any agency in this situation. It sucks that people who never voted for this are in the hot seat, but short of further conflict and strife, we need to have some hope that Americans will put a stop to this before Trump runs into a country that is even better prepared than Iran.

I sincerely wish you the best of luck in this endeavour. Know that there are people all around the world rooting for the better Americans to come out on top and to start to solve the systemic issues that got us all here.
