It's an application of machine learning that's only distantly in the same ballpark (get it?) as the training of ‘genAI’ LLMs. There are huge differences in accuracy; consent; environmental and social impact; etc.
When you use the same label for both, you encourage the false impression that ‘genAI’ could ever be as accurate and useful as ABS. That's free marketing for Sam Altman and the other sociopaths. Please change the headline.
