I still miss having an MMO to fixate on.
Crimson Desert has been scratching this itch slightly.
I downloaded #BlackDesert last night on a whim, and it looks like I lost my characters. At some point, the ownership changed, and I missed the deadline to do something about it. It’s not a huge deal; none of them were super high level. Still, it’s annoying.
Just thinking of the hours lost in the character creation mode alone.
@68000 isn't that what happens easily with any proper character creator? 😅
@68000 my main, Witch, I got to level 61 I think. I had the Archaeologist's Map, too

@68000 I've been eyeing it, but it sounds like boss battles would be incredibly un-fun for me.

but also, cats. And the steep price... it's definitely a buy-on-deep-discount gamble. Or a little 🏴‍☠️ "demo" before committing.

@68000 It has me thinking of maybe trying Black Desert. I got it for free some time ago. But for now CD will keep me busy for a longtime time
@yesiamroy I've considered trying it again. It's been a good while since I played it though. I think I quit because it felt like a part time job with the level of grind involved. That, and the gear upgrade system was extremely RNG based. I don't know if it's still like that or not.
@68000 That doesn’t sound great. Love how straightforward upgrading is in Crimson Desert.
