Today Brewster rewarded me with an "espresso maker"

but it was a Moka pot

I do not think Brewster knows coffee very well

#ACNL

I tried letting my coffee cool before drinking it and he said "Refined people know that heat draws out the flavor" and like, yes, it does, buuuuuuut you also need to be able to taste it, and for that you need to let it cool a bit!
also I continue to be annoyed that the only coffee bean types are "mocha" (not a bean type), "blend" (okay fine whatever), "Kilimanjaro" and "Blue Mountain." At least the two actual named varieties are Arabica but c'mon, give me a South American origin!
yes I know this is a game for kids
Bertha sure is trying to get me to talk her out of moving
anyway I finally got my 3DS linked to Pretendo, phew
still can't get the dream suite to work though :(
@fluffy dream suite isn't supported by pretendo yet unfortunately
@pea ah, do you know what bits are? So far I haven’t found anything that Pretendo has enabled. I know the train can work with it but that’s not super important to me.
@fluffy Other than dream suite I haven't had any issues, what else are you having issues with? Are you loading the plugin first? For ACNL you need to load the plugin for pretendo to work cause there was some exploit people were doing to brick consoles

@pea neither Harv nor “check for a present” at the post office function in a way that indicates that it’s managing to reach a working server. I don’t know what else in ACNL would use a connection beyond the train.

How do you load the plugin? That hasn’t come up on any of the tutorials I’ve found, everything just says to run nimbus and make sure Pretendo is selected but then there’s no info about ACNL specifically.

@fluffy uhh I'm not sure about those two I haven't tried, but u can load the plugin from the nimbus app and hitting Y and then loading the game after, it should show "plugin loaded" in the bottom right when the game starts. My husbands 3DS somehow autoloads the plugin without doing it manually but idk how he did that and neither does he
@pea Hmm. I don't think I've ever seen "plugin loaded" even when I make sure to load the plugin from Nimbus before launching the game, so that's probably something to do with it.

@pea okay I just went through all the steps and saw "plugin ready" appear for a couple seconds, and I just don't know if I never noticed it before.

Anyway with this verification I still get the same errors for the non-train parts of ACNL. I guess the only thing I can do with Pretendo is train visits and that requires actually friending people and scheduling things.
