There is a #leica #app for #iOS that is supposed to be really good for photos. But my goodness they want a bunch of money for a subscription. I'm tempted. But tbh the iPhone 15 pro cameras are great as they are.

Do any of you in the Fediverse use a special app to take photos?

@phillycodehound I use the Leica app and it’s very nice and customizable , I bought the iPhone grip (pricey) and they give one year of free Leica app. It’s pretty early to tell but doubt I will extend the app, just too expensive for what it does and what you could accomplish with post processing software.
@moredread Why'd you buy the grip? Just curious?
@phillycodehound easier to hold the phone while taking pics something to grab onto, bit more camera like. Going to Spain for a month leaving in 2 weeks that will be the real test of grip and app.
@moredread @phillycodehound I got the grip for Christmas, and I’m having it attached at all times (except beside). It makes it much easier to pick up and to hold the phone in general. Photography-wise, it’s a step towards having a #Leica again. Of course without the wonderful optics. But I totally buy into the fact that you apply all these operations to mimic the various lenses, because even the built-in Camera app applies a multitude of various operations. And you can always revert.
@bondo @phillycodehound yes of course , I actually like it quite a bit but the price of the grip it should include a lifetime app subscription
@moredread @phillycodehound Yes, I definitely wouldn’t mind paying less. But when was Leica ever cheap!
