2016: every line of code is immediately tech debt, the most important design paradigm is simplicity, I maintain a curated personal blog about minimalism

2026: haha I just have my stochastic labubu generate tons of code all the time, I don't even look at it. More is more. I regularly have nervous breakdowns about what it all means on all social media platforms

@mrtazz

2016: the code is self-documenting

2026: *spends hours perfecting detailed tutorials inside a hidden folder*

@alxndr @mrtazz don't forget the fact that those tutorials are often much better than actual documentation for contributors…
@tragivictoria @alxndr @mrtazz people keep saying that but whenever i open a claude md the vibe in there is like "FOR THE THOUSANDTH TIME STOP MUNCHING ON THE UPHOLSTERY TOTO!!!"
@lritter @alxndr @mrtazz i can only speak about the cases I saw myself really
@tragivictoria @lritter @mrtazz I've seen both, "software engineers" begging the chatbots to "PLEASE BE VERY THOROUGH", and very useful instructions for building and testing a project, which I'm sure some human contributors would have loved to have. Shame on those sloperators either way.
