When I had a cybersecurity certification (what a joke, only to get teaching gigs you see) I had to maintain it by "continuing education". Read an article, write & upload a 200-word summary, about 1/month. Once it was in an actual DoD/DISA publication, by 3 authors from the USAF Academy, one of whose academic profile said that his primary academic interest was discovering a mathematical proof of God. Even though Isaac Newton worked on that centuries ago.
