This is the Intellivision Sprint I'm playing on btw (a new one made by Atari) - I do have a real Intellivision 2 but tbh using this one is much easier and more convenient - controllers are wireless, I don't have to muck about tuning and all that like I do with the old one AND the picture quality is ridiculously better. You just plug in the HDMI and away you go, really. Also it accepts a USB key so you can add games to it yourself. Really nice little thing, it is.
@psychicparrot42 Is the directional control disc better than the original? I remember it was quite bad, also the buttons were hard to press. But I love the guide you put on the buttons, best UI ever.
@drZool It’s better than my old one, for sure. Tighter and more responsive although it doesn’t spin like the old ones did- or if it does spin (I’ll have to try it) it’s stiff so not something I’ve been doing. The side buttons are a lot easier to press too. I’d say they’re better but I did like being able to slide spin the originals between directions, which I can’t seem to do with these.
@drZool The joystick bit is polished and very shiny so you can slide around it, but it doesn’t spin like the old ones. Other than that, I think they’re an improvement. They’ve done a good job and they include overlays for all the games it comes with in the box, too.
