People in cars are doing important things, and their time is valuable. We know this because they are in cars. People not in cars are doing unimportant things, and their time has no value. We know this because, if they were doing important things, they would be in cars.

Traffic engineers decided that the time of people in motor vehicles is a precious commodity that must be conserved at all costs, while the time of people outside of motor vehicles is infinitely expendable. And cities let it happen. #WindshieldBias
