Starting to redo one of the work doodles on the iPad. Using symmetry tools to block it out, but forcing myself to be intentionally sketchy. That way my brain doesn’t lean too hard on those tools and get stuck on the wrong details.

Okay. Where I got was cool, but far from my original sketch. How very ADHD. But I’m trying to get better at “drawing on purpose,” where I have a specific idea and the end result is at least recognizably derived from that idea.
Trying again. Instructions for self:
> Import work doodle as a reference image. Pick a sketchy pencil brush. Set symmetry tools—this is for print, if you can’t make a straight line store-bought is fine. Go. Not too tidy, not too sloppy.
