@cassolotl I like this, obviously, but I think I'd prefer just "remove gender markers" overall. Why log gender on a passport anyway?

GRCs are an exception to that of course, at least for now. Maybe one day the concept of "legal" or "recognised" gender won't even be relevant to anything 🍀

@i_cannot_today I would be down for that too. :) If you wanted to make a "remove gender markers from passports" petition I'd sign it and share it!

@cassolotl @i_cannot_today Unfortunately, gender markers on passports are part of the international standards on what a passport needs to include (although it does include the option of using X)

Removing gender marker from driving license number, though. Especially as most people don't even know it's there.

@sparrowsion @i_cannot_today Ahhhh bums. 🙄 So the petition would have to be for the government to petition to make it optional...!
