I found that someone from Europe just forked ONLYOFFICE. I really hope this could be a good alternative

Why did you not work with libreoffice and collabora online?

We believe open source is about collaboration and we look for oportunities for integration and collaboration with the LibreOffice community and companies like Collabora. There are already some ideas how to collaborate for example in the document converter.

Sigh.

I have no particular opinion about LibreOffice vs OpenOffice vs ONLYOFFICE vs whatever.

I have very strong opinions about government spokespeople that provide garbage non-answers.

I was convinced that it was in cooperation with the German government funding open source software. It is not. But they are definitely aiming for the public sector.
