Federal law prohibits any depiction or representation of any living president on currency. As such, as long as I am CEO, my company will not be accepting any illegal currency produced by the US Mint, including but not limited to:

- coins produced with the likeness of Donald Trump
- bills produced with the signature of Donald Trump
- any similar currency, coin, bill, or note featuring any likeness or representation of Donald Trump.

These are not legal tender as per the United States code enshrined in the Thayer Amendment of 1866. We do not now and will not ever recognize any of it as legal United States currency until such time as Donald Trump is dead.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

@Lana "oh you want to pay with play money? you're ok if the change is monopoly money then."
"this is not legal tender - I am obliged by law to confiscate it and call the police if you present it in earnest for payment."
@Lana Does that mean the secret service is obligated to arrest the director of the mint for counterfeiting?

@Lana

Please accept this (probably more valid) money as tip for your informative post.

(Disclaimer: I may have already used it on Lemmy to pay for Sonic feet pics)
