It's so easy not to threadspam! To demonstrate, I'll write a thread, but I won't threadspam it! 🧵

THIS post begins the thread. I've set the visibility of this post to "Public," but every other post in the thread will be "Quiet Public," that way it won't flood the Live Feed. To read the rest of this thread, you choose to (or not; it's up to you, since you're not being threadspammed).

This post continues the thread, but since it's marked as Quiet Public, it's visible only to those who choose to read the thread (or my followers). So cool!

This post keeps on with the keepin' on!

I could do this all day!

But I'm not gonna.

But I could. And it wouldn't spam the Live Feed (backwards, no less ... threadspam spams the Live Feed, backwards, and that's Mastodon's fault, the backward part). I didn't even have to manually adjust this post; it automatically set to Quiet Public, because it's a reply to the above, Quiet Public, post.

All I had to do was keep on threading. So easy. And it's fun!

@SJohnRoss
Sorry, i got to thread spammed by this thread.
@sm0r6 I'm not even on your instance. 😮 Best option is to Mute me or maybe all of dice.camp, maybe.
@SJohnRoss
I may be misunderstanding what you meant by thread spam.
Do you mean spam on my followed feed or spam on my local server feed?
If the later then no I did not see your thread there at all.
@sm0r6 On your followed feed you should only ever see accounts (or tags) you actually follow, and thus never spam at all unless someone abuses a tag (I block several folks a month for tag abuse).
