CYA ConferenceErin Middleton from Walker Books Australia will be assessing Chapter Books, Early Readers, Junior Fiction, Middle Grade, Picture Books, Fantasy, and Speculative Fiction manuscripts at CYA 2026.
She is seeking engaging, well-paced manuscripts with a strong voice and a sense of wonder across picture books through to middle grade, with a focus on early readers and junior fiction. Erin is also open to adult fantasy and speculative fiction featuring rich worlds and diverse voices.
Assessment sessions are 15-minute one-on-one online meetings, with pre-read material and tailored feedback.
