@LunaDragofelis @pastelfluffyfox isnt the point of a hotel to be a temporary place to live for people travelling around alot?
so its like a bunch of people who don't actually 'live there' constantly .. so not sure what i think about that tbh
.. definintely should be free though fuck paying for housing
it's housing for a lot of lower income families, actually
average rent here is $2500+, and that's not even getting into credit checks, application fees and past evictions screwing you over. add in the fact that it takes over a decade to get into public housing, and hotels are all you can do.
i also suspect there would be some overlap between these two groups (people just wanting a temporary place to stay, and long-term staying in places) and thats fine too .. should be different because they are different .. etc
