I only got a couple pics at my local No Kings rally, but these signs begged to be photographed.

Friends and neighbors, I am lifted up. I’m thinking there were easily 150 people on the square of our little university town in east Alabama, and we got tons of honks and waves and smiles.

Notably, the only people flipping us off were middle-aged to old white men. Big shock.

This rally would NEVER have happened in our town during the first Turnip term. Things are changing, folks, and they’re changing in a big way. Hope is a powerful force.

@adhdeanasl Oddly, besides the no cops, we also had no media. They may have all gone down to Newnan, which would have been bigger than Fayetteville with more opportunities. Or maybe I didn't see them. The Indivisible folks were all catty corner across the street.

A funny aside, I kept wondering what time it was, before I remembered that the Old Fayette County Courthouse still had a working clock tower.

@kimlockhartga If the EMP ever happens, lots of people will be glad it’s still there. Did you see the courthouse in Rome burned?

@kimlockhartga The older courthouse. I think it was pretty much demolished. Wild; I walked past it with a group of students the day before it burned. I read somewhere it might have been some welding that caused the fire; the courthouse has been under renovation.

@adhdeanasl I know that there was an old Campbell County that was subsumed by Fulton County, and its old historic courthouse has been condemned. A shame no one maintained it.
