I got this tiny XTEINK ereader to continue my effort to unbundle my time and hobbies from my phone. The hardware is surprisingly solid, and there is an active community of people hacking on an open source firmware along with a bunch of utilities for interfacing with the device. It runs on an ESP32, and it’s magnetic!

The reading experience is good, I’m hoping I can read even more books!

The features are:

reading books, seeing a list of books, entering one of a few different “sync” modes where you can add books over WiFi or via apps, and settings where you can adjust some font options.

That’s it!!

It came with 32gb of space otherwise known as enough room for every book I’ve ever even glanced at
@benbrown that’s super rad - love it!
