using Thunderbird and want to create a different email sound for each account that you have? Well, now you can, with Filtaquilla. You can also do many more things with this banana of an extension: https://services.addons.thunderbird.net/En-US/thunderbird/addon/filtaquilla/
FiltaQuilla

Adds many new mail filter actions - launch a file, suppress notification, remove star or tag, mark replied or unread, copy as "read", append text to subject.

@mcourcel I want to be able to make rules in betterbird, not thunderbird, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to make rules! grrrrrrr!
@JamminJerry So shift+tab until you hear your inbox folder, up arrow to the account and then Shift+f10. YOu can set message filters in that menu.
@mcourcel that sounds a lot harder than it is in outlook. at least with outlook, you can highlight an email, press the applications key, and go to rules, and create, and it bases the rule off that email, so lets say you want to have part of the subject be the rule, I don't know, lets say something lie [blind hams]. you just have to take the rest of the subject out, but leave that part there, and then when you create it, you can tell it to look at all the emails in your inbox, and run that rule on the emails that are there. if this makes sense.
@mcourcel I will have to try to play around in there to try to make rules. thank god betterbird is portable so I won't lose my rules if I have to redo windows like I do with outlook. lol.
@JamminJerry Yeah, make sure your folder pane is checked under the view menu and layout.
@mcourcel here is another good question for you seeings how it seems like you know better bird pretty well, how can I change it so it shows me the sender first, and the subject second. also I just want to see there name, and not there email address, because sometimes I don't know someones email address.
@JamminJerry Oddly enough, I'm helping someone else with the exact same issue, so once I'm done. I'll write something up and send it over.
@mcourcel that would be great! well you are not only helping me with things, but you are helping @shefoof to, as she just started using this I think a few weeks ago. I help her with what I can, which sadly isn't much. smile. so you are helping me and her when I ask questions like this.
@mcourcel @JamminJerry also, when I press enter on a message, for some reason it's not marking it as read. :-)
@munchkinbear @mcourcel mine are at least being marked as read. smile.
@JamminJerry @mcourcel I purposely turned off that thing that marked them as read as you scrol past.
@munchkinbear @JamminJerry Now that's a weird one.
@mcourcel @JamminJerry yeah, it is, I could like record a demo and show you, now watch, I record a demo and it'll work, lol.
