Today Brewster rewarded me with an "espresso maker"

but it was a Moka pot

I do not think Brewster knows coffee very well

#ACNL

I tried letting my coffee cool before drinking it and he said "Refined people know that heat draws out the flavor" and like, yes, it does, buuuuuuut you also need to be able to taste it, and for that you need to let it cool a bit!
also I continue to be annoyed that the only coffee bean types are "mocha" (not a bean type), "blend" (okay fine whatever), "Kilimanjaro" and "Blue Mountain." At least the two actual named varieties are Arabica but c'mon, give me a South American origin!

The other day, as I often do, I wondered about the origin of a word and opened dictionary dot com. Mocha gave its name to a dark bean variety long before it meant chocolate in coffee. This is probably a coincidence, and whoever imagined that human-animal hybrids might grow cocoa-coffee hybrids probably did not know this, but it does exist.

@Cerulean oh, interesting.
@Cerulean I wonder when it stopped referring to a Yemeni bean variety. It looks like the coffee and chocolate meaning happened in the mid-1800s and I don’t know if it stopped referring to the variety by then.

@fluffy

Looks like it's still grown today, so it really is a matter of context.
