Wikipedia notes six species that have had this name, but asserts that the only "legitimate" one is for the species now known as "Allium schoenoprasum", so that's what I'll go with. (It looks close enough, to my non-botanist eyes.)

I have both seen these growing, in the garden on the farm, as well as in my own household, where living things are normally nurtured by my spouse and our son.
