Tonight I joined city council to chat about the push to repeal the zoning changes that were originally part of the 39 recommendations of the Housing Affordability Taskforce from 2023.
It was done on behalf of the Downtown Core Neighbourhood Association.

@vsp It's good to see someone stand up against the repeal. During our recent election I watched some of my council candidates debate and they were all pro-repeal. The amount of thought that went into their arguments was disappointing. The only candidate in my ward who opposed repeal wasn't there.
#Calgary could be so much better, if we make it so. Repealing the zoning bylaw seems very much like a step in the wrong direction.

Last election I was annoyed by much of the same. It's frustrating how we've gotten here, and how we're not jumping on the changes that can really make this city a better place for all. 😢
