About to enter the Colossal Cave with @IamMrsGeek

“27 movies and TV shows here, mostly very low budget. Anyone heard of ‘Night of the Lepus?”

“No,” “nope, “what,” “yep,” “no.”

“That’s right pretty much nobody—wait who said yep? How did you hear of it?”

Me: “I’m a nerd.”

“You are the first one ever to have heard of that movie on my tours.”

@IamMrsGeek over there beaming with pride.

Colossal Cave is a pareidolist’s dream / nightmare.

The cave witch eats a cookie and points visitors to the cave entrance with her nose, Mr. Magoo’s nose points people deeper into the cave as he sips on coffee. The cat (squint for a rock between people’s stupid heads on the left) just thinks the whole thing is hilarious.

@randomgeek @IamMrsGeek Wait. You meant the actual cave? I thought you were talking about the original text adventure game.
@randomgeek @IamMrsGeek Oh, I've heard of it.
@socketwench @IamMrsGeek pretty sure I’d also heard about Night of the Lepus *recently* thanks to #Monsterdon but “I’m a nerd” was the most useful answer for general audiences.
@randomgeek @IamMrsGeek Night of the Lepus is classic cinema.
@mcgrew @randomgeek @IamMrsGeek never heard of it! Recommended unconditionnaly or just for Monsterdon aficionados?
@temptoetiam @randomgeek @IamMrsGeek Probably Monsterdon. I haven't seen it in close to 40 years so my memory is a little hazy, but If you like classic B movie horror like "Killer Klowns from Outer Space" or "The Toxic Avenger", then yes, I recommend it.
@mcgrew @randomgeek @IamMrsGeek hmm, I've heard of it but I haven't watched it
