@dhry I just picked this up for $17. Kershaw Shuffle II - Tanto

@Ronnie Nice handle! I generally go for drop point straight blades, like the EDC one I have or the Kizer Militaw. I also pretty much have a minimum blade length of at least 3.5", don't really have much use for a short blade (already have enough of those for boxcutting). I have an alternate potential purpose for EDC.

Tantos absolutely suck for sharpening though..

@dhry I need it mostly for box cutting and cutting tape. We will see if I like it. The price was good.
@Ronnie Admittedly regular tantos like this ARE excellent for box cutting. Just bad for sharpening with the tools *I* have due to the miniscule edge on the tanto part. I think it would be a lot easier on a whetstone. I should learn to use mine one day. First time I tried them I blunted the christ out of my knife despite being super careful and just got the shits.

@Ronnie Listen, next time you're at Walmart, go to the gun/knife area and take a look at what they'll probably have in a small carousel atop their display desk. They have a stack of cheap knives there that would fit this purpose, under $10. I bought two Fathoms for $6 each recently. I'll bet the Ridgeline would have worked great for this purpose, ten bucks cheaper.

Not as cool of a handle though..

@dhry Got one ordered to be delivered tomorrow.
@Ronnie Got one what? The Kershaw or a wugout?
@dhry The wugout. I get 10% off at Walmart. I paid $9.72 after taxes.
Robot or human?

@dhry I got the green handle one coming tomorrow.
@Ronnie Nice. I think there's a white handle one as well. The budget knife brigade love using RIT dye to change the handle color.
