All strikes on medical facilities are war crimes according to the Geneva Conventions.

The World Health Organization says a strike hit a hospital last week in Sudanโs western Darfur region and killed at least 64 people. The WHO says the attack left the hospital non-functional. WHO chief Tedros Ghebreyesus says the strike hit the Al Daein Teaching Hospital in East Darfur on Friday. He says at least 13 children were killed and 89 people were injured. The Rapid Support Forces blame the military. The army denies responsibility and says it targeted a nearby police station. The U.N. says the war in Sudan, which began in April 2023, has killed more than 40,000 people.
