Evan ProdromouI'm going to say, I feel a little guilty about not participating in #NoKings / #NoTyrants today. Our #Montreal event was cancelled and I'm too far from Ottawa to make it on time. If I had my passport, I could get down to the Newport VT event, but I left it in Montreal. I guess I will be watching along from the Fediverse instead!
Wild Sown@evan I don't feel any guilt at all. I see a lot of white people making a show of it, and that feels pretty cringey.
It's a distraction from the disruptive action that is needed. It's frustrating to see people not listening to leaders from marginalized communities, and not adapting their tactics at all.
By contrast, I'd say Canadian boycotts have been more effective.
