@rom Despite all the justified outrage over this overreaching regulation, one shouldn't lose sight of the fact that the obligation to hand over passwords has been legally enshrined for decades, even in some Western democracies. And not just in the USA during Donald Trump's second term.

I am specifically referring to the UK here.

@thosch66 @maique isn't this a concern with GDPR or whatever is in effect in the UK now? Password is a sensitive PII - shouldn't it be protected against this?
