Worcester 7th grader earns national recognition for solar panel invention

I wish they'd covered his design in more detail. He's come up with a way to get the solar panel to move, tracking the sun for better efficiency. Of course there are already many systems that do this. His improvement was using water flow and gravity to do it without motors.

@ml interesting idea need to make sure that the system is sealed very well to prevent evaporation, use distilled water add glycol for no freezing and biocides... also needs to be able to calibrated for different latitudes.
@kelsiraespace My first thought was to wonder how he accounted for evaporation. I assume that he did and that the shallow news report is not going into it.
@ml yeah I think there would be a lot of work to actually make it production ready but a cool science project
