So, defacing money is illegal but I just looked it up and that's only if in a fraudulent way or a way to make it unfit for circulation. Since you're doing the opposite I say it's fine, but if you're taking legal advice from me you're probably fucked.

@crazyeddie The law requires an intent to defraud. Trump campaign in 2020 stamped millions of bills with their campaign logo.

But yeah, it would appear in this case they didn't break the law.
